EAST DENNIS - Henry Homer Sears, 64, died Friday at his home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Serena F. (Limoges) Sears.
Mr. Sears was born in Barnstable and was a 10th generation Cape Codder, whose property is one of the last on Cape Cod still deeded to the original family property owner, and which remains a working farm. He was a direct descendant of one of the founders and first settlers of Dennis.
Mr. Sears was an Air Force veteran who served from 1960-66 as a jet mechanic with the 60th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. He was the owner and operator of Ol' Salty's Quarterboards in East Dennis, where he carved signs and quarterboards. He had a small tractor collection that he enjoyed driving and operating, and was an avid model railroader. For many years he was a volunteer firefighter for the Dennis Fire Department.
